Modern shower screens

Nowadays almost every bathroom has a shower screen, either for the shower tray, which is the most common option today, or for the bathtub.
A shower screen is a fixed or movable frame placed on the shower tray or bathtub to stop water from splashing out into the rest of the bathroom.
Today there are many types and finishes of shower screens to suit any space and bathroom style.
At Verosil we are experts in bathroom shower screens, so just ask us.
Below we look at the materials used to make shower screens, the advantages of each one, and the details to look out for when choosing the perfect screen for your bathroom.
SHOWER SCREENS OF UNQUESTIONABLE QUALITY
They can have aluminium profiles, the most widely used thanks to their price and finishes, as they come in different colours and finishes. Or stainless steel, which is usually the most expensive option.
When choosing a shower screen, these are the main aspects to consider:
- Cleaning from day one: the surface should be easy to clean and give a good result.
- Comfortable access to the shower, allowing the necessary movement inside the bathroom. Buying a screen for a bathtub used by children is not the same as buying a shower or bath screen for a person with reduced mobility who needs a wheelchair or help with daily personal care.
At our showroom we will advise you on which type of screen to install according to the size and needs of each bathroom, and we will look at every option to find the one that best fits the customer's idea.
SHOWER SCREENS WITH COUNTLESS OPTIONS
The most requested option is one fixed panel and one sliding panel, giving roughly half the width as the entrance. Sliding models are also available with two fixed side panels and two sliding central panels, which is very convenient when there are fittings on both sides.
For very small spaces there are folding screens with minimal profiles so as not to overload the space, leaving almost all the room free to use. Hinged screens leave a lot of usable space, but since regulations require the door to open outwards, they are installed less often.
Another thing to look at carefully when buying a shower screen is that it is easy to clean. There are now screens with almost no profiles at the top or bottom, which makes cleaning much easier and prevents dirt from building up permanently. The glass also comes with an anti-limescale treatment, so dirt and soap don't stick as much.
All the brands we work with at Verosil are Spanish, which guarantees technical service for any damage that may arise after purchase, even long afterwards.
We also value the availability of spare parts, so there are no problems replacing components such as rollers, seals or any other part of the screen.
We hope this has been helpful and has cleared up some of the questions customers usually have when installing a shower screen in their bathroom. At Verosil we have the answers: find all the information here.
